WHAT YOU SHOULD LOOK FOR: - Check the exterior of the building and examine the roof, the siding, and the windows;
- The slope of the property should allow water to drain away from the structure;
- The basement should be free of any signs of water damage or leaks;
- The home should have proper insulation and ventilation;
- The roof framing and exterior / interior wall framing should show no irregularities;
- The foundation should be free of cracks;
- The electrical system should be examined for improper wiring or exposed wiring;
- The plumbing system should show no signs of deterioration or leaks;
- The heat & air distribution system should be adequate and tested for heat and cooling operation;
- Materials should show no signs of asbestos; and . . .
- A licensed Home Inspector should conduct the inspection.
